To Colette, Laurie, Bill, Christine, Dan, Denise and all the grandkids we would like to extend our sincere condolences to all of you.  Richard was not a big man, he was not a loud man but he certainly left his mark on all of us.  We will cherish all the holidays we had together, we have had many laughs.  It was always so much fun to be with you.  We will miss you so much, rest in peace Richard, until we see you again.

Thinking of you so much as we remember Richard. Even though he joined our family after I had moved out, it was always so clear how much he loved you and how inseparable you two were all these years. It was a joy to see the life you built together, from your beautiful garden at home to those sunny trips to Myrtle Beach.

Richard was such a gentle soul. I will always remember his warm smile and the way he made us feel welcome every time we visited, whether he was meeting us at the car to help with bags, fixing a big breakfast, or manning the BBQ.

Felix and Keegan will especially miss him. He was a grandfather to them in every sense of the word, and those summer weeks they spent with both of you are memories they will carry forever. We all admired his dedication to the things he loved; cleaning his car and making sure the lawn and his tools were absolutely perfect.

Our hearts go out to Laurie and Bill as they navigate this difficult time. Richard was a wonderful man who left a kind mark on everyone who knew him.

Chère Colette,
C’est avec une immense tristesse que nous avons appris le décès de Richard. Durant ces vingt+ dernières années, ce fut un réel bonheur de côtoyer un homme aussi chaleureux. Nous n’oublierons jamais sa gentillesse et son sourire radieux qui apportait tant de joie autour de lui.
Il était pour nous bien plus qu’un beau-frère ; il était un ami très cher. Nous gardons précieusement en mémoire tous ces beaux moments passés ensemble. Nous pensons très fort à toi et t’envoyons toute notre affection en cette période difficile.
