Roger Joseph Leger

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father Joseph “Roger” Leger, just shy of his 90th birthday, with his loving family by his side. Roger lost his courageous battle with Alzheimer’s/dementia on October 15th, 2024. He leaves to mourn his caring and dedicated children, Daniel Leger (Lise), Carole Fiddler (Randy), and Marc Leger.

Special grandfather to Mathieu (Angelique), Valerie (George), Stephanie (Brock), Trevor (Roxane), Shelby (Scott), Emilie (Justin), and Connor.

Special “Pip” to 15 great grandchildren Vincent, William, Zoe, Holden, Findlay, Jade, Charlotte, Leo, Jurnee, Rose, Everly, Jack, Elizabeth, Jovie, and Charlie.

Roger has departed for his “Eternal Fishing Expedition”, where he will be reunited with his late parents, family members, and good friends. He is predeceased by his parents Alfred Leger and Jeanne (Groulx), his brother Robert Leger (late Gilberte), sister Julia Kaddie (late Clarence), and brother Jean-Paul Leger (late Carol).

He is survived by his siblings Jacqueline James (late Charlie), Jeannette Wallace (Tom), Pierrette Bourget (Gerald), and many nephews and nieces.

Memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or Elder Abuse Prevention Ontario would be greatly appreciated by the family.

A private graveside service was held at Notre-Dame Cemetery in the presence of his immediate family and loved ones.
