At peace resting alongside her beloved husband Hugh Bogart. Loving mother of Deborah Pregent (Bob), Kim Bogart (Lorraine), and Perry Bogart. Treasured grandmother of Benjamin (Shelby), Melissa (Ryan), Zachary (Natasha), Brodie. Cherished great-grandmother of Porter, Ferris, Colby, Cooper, and Carson. Daughter of the late Octave Marsolais and Edith Larocque. Survived by her sister Pearl. Predeceased by her son Donald Bogart, her granddaughter Ashleigh Bogart, brothers Henry, Rudolph, Vincent, Clifford, and Leonard, and her sister Patricia.

Shirley’s hands were always busy creating, a testament to her beautiful spirit. She was a gifted seamstress, and her loved ones cherished her, the special things she made, especially the Christmas crafts and the warm, quilted blankets. In her younger years, she found joy in the outdoors, whether she was hitting the links on the golf course, playing a round of darts, or skiing down the slopes. Above all, Shirley was a loving grandmother who made each of her grandchildren feel special. She created treasured memories, like the time she spent baking with her grandson, Brodie. In her final year at St Joseph’s Villa, she was surrounded by new friends - both fellow residents and the dedicated staff. There were special caregivers whom she held close to her heart, and they know who they are. To the entire Team at St Joseph’s Villa, especially those at Mantle House, thank you for your compassionate care - you truly are the best.

The family will receive visitors at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Home, West Branch (20 Seventh Street West, Cornwall | 613-932-8482) on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. Following the service, a luncheon will be held. Interment will take place at Notre-Dame Cemetery after the luncheon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the St. Joseph's Continuing Care Centre would be greatly appreciated by the family.
