Simone Esther MacMillan

MACMILLAN, Simone Esther (née Provost) - We are all saddened by the passing of Simone who was a friend to all and a mother to many. Simone passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at the age of 96 years. The daughter of the late Ernest and Clementine Provost. Predeceased by husband John, brothers Conrad, Rolland, Alcide Provost and sister to Lucille (Cotnam). She is going home and will see her two little boys in Heaven but sadly leaves two behind, Alan MacMillan (Donna) of Orleans On. and Larry MacMillan (Lynne) of Richmond On.

She will be remembered by grandchildren Jennifer Corbin (Cliff Ells), Karen MacMillan, Gregory MacMillan and Penny McCullen. She is also survived by three great grandchildren and more than a dozen honorary grandchildren.

To say she was feisty is an understatement, she was always involved and never held back expressing her views and feelings on any subject. We knew where we stood with her and if we didn’t, she would tell us.

The strength of her faith prepared her and she will be welcomed by Family in her spiritual house. Her kindness and infectious personality was loved by all.

Thank you to the staff of Riverdale Terrace and Bayshore Nursing Group and to all doctors and nurses who were there for Simone and her family through this emotional time.

Resting at LAHAIE AND SULLIVAN CORNWALL FUNERAL HOME, WEST BRANCH, 20 Seventh Street West (613-932-8482) from

2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022. A Funeral Service will be held in St. Francis de Sales Parish on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at a later date. Family has requested that all attendees wear masks and are double vaccinated.
