Allan Randolph Uyesugi, 79, of Tustin, California, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026, in Tustin. Born in Yuba City, California, to Masao and Mary Uyesugi, Allan’s life was defined by dedication—to his family, his work, and his community.
A graduate of Santa Ana High School, Allan continued his education at Chapman College and the Gemological Institute of America. While serving in the Army Reserve on weekends, he began his career as an instructor at GIA before joining his family’s jewelry business, AA Jewel Box, where he worked for nearly fifty years. His mastery of gemology and sincere approach to customer care helped establish the store as a trusted name in Orange County.
Allan’s community involvement was extensive. He served as a member of the Santa Ana Rotary Club, volunteered on the board of Community Service Programs (now known as Waymakers), and contributed his leadership as a director at Orange County Business Bank and as a member of the St. Joseph Hospital Foundation.
A loyal Angels baseball fan and 40-year season ticket holder, Allan loved time on the golf course and delighted in sharing good food with family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Uyesugi; his beloved wife, Georgine; sons Steven (Napua Low) and Matthew (Ginny); and his grandson, Ando Uyesugi.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 185 S. Center Street, Orange, CA 92866.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Allan’s honor to the St. Joseph Hospital Foundation, 1100 W. Stewart Drive, Orange, CA 92828.
