Donald Denson Elmore

He served with distinction in the Air-Force as a radar technician from 1956-1960.

Don graduated Magna Cum-Laude from Colorado State University in 1964 with a degree in Business Administration. He dedicated the majority of his career in sales and marketing working for Sylvania Lighting Products advancing to the higher levels of management. He won the Sylvania Hall of Fame Award for 5 years, and the Sales Manager Silver Cup Award for 3 years.

He met his wife to be Judy Matteson at St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach. They married in 1987. They relocated to Trilogy Redmond Ridge in Redmond, WA in 2005.

He became a devout Christian and devoted much of his time to bible study. He and Judy joined Bear Creek United Methodist Church in Redmond, WA in 2010.

He loved reading, history, politics, photography, nature and golf. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Judy Elmore, son, Curtis Elmore and wife Dawn, daughter, Paulla Elmore, son, Douglas Elmore, step sons, Bret Matteson and wife Michele, Scot Matteson and wife Samantha, grandchildren, Chance Elmore, Austin, Taylor, Britany, Brooke and Victoria Matteson.

Services will be held at 2:00 on Oct. 23, 2011 at Pacific View Memorial Park in Corona Del Mar, CA. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Don.
