Edmund Chen

Edmund Chen, fondly called “Chen Papa”, was born on February 11th, 1927 in Tainan, Taiwan. On June 28, 2011 he was baptized. He moved to a beautiful new estate on July 14th, 2017, where he is forever blessed.

Chen Papa was a fun-loving, adventurous, curious, tenacious, humorous and highly intelligent man. From his career at Bank of Taiwan for 42 years, he received the Ultimate National Civil Servant award. Outside of work, tennis was his life, and mountaineering was his favorite team sport. He loved all the newest inventions and gadgets. He was always at the forefront to support innovation. His love toward his family overflowed and

reached many of our extended family, hence the name Chen Papa.

Chen Papa was survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Payching Chen, daughter Lily Tu and her husband Roger Tu; son Nanming Chen and his wife Bon-Chu Chung; daughter Jane Jaorong Chen and her husband Ragnar Edholm; son Peter Nanrong Chen and his wife Minglin Chen; 6 grandchildren, Ying-Ja Chen, Steve Tu, Audrey Chen, Andrew Chen, Mingja Edholm and Linnea Edholm.
