Elizabeth B. Ogg

Elizabeth Ogg, 99, was called home to be with the Lord on July 15, 2011 in Laguna Beach. She was born on May 24, 1912 in Lodi, New Jersey. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Ogg and 2 sons, William Ogg and Wesley Ogg. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Leighton and Karen Ogg of Houston, Texas; her daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and David Brown of Dana Point; grandchildren Stacie, Rocky, Matt, Shelsea, Jeremy, Nathan; great grandchildren Savannah, Ethan, Dawson, Logan; her brother, Martin Bua of Los Angeles, and many nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth was a member of the Alpha Delta Chi sorority and graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1935 with a degree in education and a teaching degree. She was employed by Los Angeles City Schools for 28 years. While living in Los Angeles, the family attended the Church of the Open Door, where she taught Sunday School for many years.

Kenneth and Elizabeth retired to Laguna Beach in 1974. She enjoyed being a leader in Bible Study Fellowship for many years and also taught Sunday School and Joy Club for 30 more years.

Always seeking to follow her Savior, Jesus Christ, she truly lived out Psalm 37:3-6 as she trusted the Lord, she delighted in the Lord and she committed her way to the Lord. She has left an inspiring legacy for her family and friends to follow.
