Surrounded by loved ones, Eric died peacefully at age 52 after a brave 6-month battle with Melanoma. Unbeknownst to his parents, Eric was born part dolphin in 1968 and grew up in Newport Beach, California spending most of his time riding the waves with his two younger sisters and training to be an elite swimmer. His love for the water and competition, led him to win the CIF finals in 1986 and to fill a slot on the swim team at Stanford University. At college, Eric discovered there was life above water by joining the crew team and being a beloved member of Kappa Sigma. Eric’s great sense of humor, easy laughter, and kind heart endeared him to his teammates and fraternity brothers, developing life-long friendships. He double majored and graduated with a degree in Economics and Urban Studies. After college, he followed in his father’s footsteps and he entered the real estate business where he used his creativity and leadership skills to build successful projects in Central and Southern California, Dubai, Turkey, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Egypt, while homeschooling his two daughters. Eric’s greatest joy was coaching his daughters’ sports teams, editing their papers, leather crafting, creating costumes with them and playing in the background while they sang, danced, and jammed. Eric is survived by his two daughters, parents, sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will be having a burial at sea offshore of Corona del Mar Beach on July 31st, 2021 at 10:45. You are welcome to gather along the cliffs or on the beach of Big Corona where you can "see" the ceremony from the shore.
