

Born in Sellersville Borough, Bucks County Pennsylvania, Hiram then moved to Venice, California with his family at the age of 6 months. Raised in Westwood, California, Hiram graduated from University High School Class of 1943. He served in WWII with the United States Coast Guard as a Ships Machinist while guarding the Alaskan Coast. Hiram received the Asiatic-Pacific Area Ribbon for his dedicated Service. He owned and operated Knolls Liquor Store in Pacific Palisades 1958-1970, and then Harvey’s Sporting Goods in Capistrano Beach 1971-1982. Remained active in Real Estate Rentals from 1982-2016. Beloved Husband and Father and eternal optimist. Hiram loved sports; both watching and participating throughout his life. His favorite sports included Football, Body Surfing, Water Skiing and Tennis. Split his time between his San Clemente home and his Palm Desert Home from 1994-2006. He enjoyed traveling through Europe. Motorhome trips around the USA, a cruise to Alaska, the Caribbean, and also one through the Panama Canal. In his later years, a daily drive through Dana Point Harbor and his love for family and friends meant the most to him.
Preceded in death by parents, Christopher and Jean Harvey, brother Christy, sisters Jean Hammond and Mary Stipanov and son-in-law Steven D. Keller. Survived by wife of 68 years; Andrea, Children; Laura and Christopher, Grandchildren; Candice and Robert Russell, Garrett Saleen and Amy Conchie. 2 Great-Granddaughters; Hannah and Charlotte Russell. Sister, Beverly McClory. 5 Nephews and 3 Nieces. Very special thanks to Vitas Hospice for the exceptional care given to Hiram.
