Born in Downers Grove, Illinois, she was the only child of Edwin and Emma Drew. She worked in real estate for over 20 years, a field she loved and was passionate about.
She always enjoyed maintaining her home and its surroundings, and never failed to decorate to the fullest every holiday season. Her stunning creativity and uniqueness in decorating style did not go unnoticed by family and neighbors alike.
She was an avid cook; not only did she have her mother’s/grandmother’s recipes to share, but also had the culinary skills only experience and passion could bring.
She was admired by others for her inner strength and wisdom; and was often looked upon for guidance when life’s challenges appeared. She warmly welcomed those in need.
She loved taking care of all creatures, especially her beloved canine companion, China, for the past seven years.
Her proudest achievement was raising her four children; she combined a successful real estate career while maintaining a happy home with love and care.
She will be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother, for her kind-hearted and fun-loving spirit; for putting people at ease when she was around; she would always state that it’s equally important “to be good, and to do good”.
Those left to cherish her memory are her four children, Linda, Stephen, Deborah and Pamela, her five grandchildren, Christine, Kendra, Scott, Daylan and Kobe, and two great-grandchildren, Ashley and Bradley.
She is preceded in death by her father, Edwin Drew, in 1985, her mother, Emma, in 1986, her beloved canine angel, Barack, in 2017 and her loyal feline shadow, Windy, in 2019. The Finn family takes comfort that she is finally at peace and has been united with them.
Jean Ann Finn possessed a tremendous spirit of kindness, generosity, love and integrity that shaped the way she lived her life. Each person that she touched has been inspired and changed by her role model. Her children and all who knew Jean will miss her dearly.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.pacificviewcalifornia.com for the Finn family.
