Jack Peirano was born on September 9, 1933 to Virginia and John Peirano in the Bensonhurst area of Brooklyn, N.Y. An only child he spent his young life in Brooklyn where he lived on 74th Street and worked at Ebbets Field selling peanuts while the Brooklyn Dodgers played ball. Jack attended Saint John’s Preparatory High School and Saint John’s University where he majored in business. He also served in the Marine Corps as an officer. At 16, he met Jane Chrysler who later became his wife of 42 years, before she passed away in 1997.
Jack and Jane moved to Irvine in 1971 with their four children. Jack loved animals, his friends, reading, NPR Radio, crossword puzzles, sports, poetry, discussing current events and social gatherings. He was a devoted member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Irvine. When Jane became ill, he cared for her himself during her entire illness. People say he was a faithful friend never forgetting a birthday or a special occasion. His children love him and miss him greatly.
Jack is survived by his children, their spouses and his grandchildren; Susan Bue Weir and Robert Weir (Tyler and Rhett), Ellen Loudon (Connor), Kathryn and Scott Manclark (Charlie and Ben), John and Shawnee Peirano (Anna, Jack, Emma). He leaves his beloved Aunts, Vera and Eveline and their children and grandchildren. In addition, he leaves Jane’s brothers Jerry and Rod and their families as well as a sister-in-law, Rosemary Chrysler and her family.
Services will be held for Jack at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Irvine on Monday, December 20 at 10 am. A burial will follow at Pacific View Cemetery in Newport Beach. A lunch will be served afterward. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that all those reading have regular skin exams once a year by a qualified doctor.
