Judy loved life and made sure everyone around her loved it too. Her quick wit, hearty laughter, and spirit of adventure were legendary. She and her late husband Jan were frequent hosts for all their many friends in Newport Beach for decades.
Born the day after Christmas in 1944 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Phillip and Jeanette Warfield. She got a taste for travel while backpacking through Europe as a young woman, and used every opportunity to visit exotic ports of call with Jan and her friends. She especially enjoyed spending time relaxing at her second home in Maui. Judy was a fierce competitor and enjoyed skiing, tennis, swimming, and even tried her hand at race car driving.
She ran her own real estate brokerage and was also an active real estate investor. As one of the area’s leading realtors, she won numerous awards, and many of her clients not only found good homes, but a good friend in the process.
She was active in the Spyglass Hill Garden Club, her HOA Boards and Architectural Committees and several philanthropic organizations. Judy was a founding member of the Coasters, the Newport Coast Women’s Club.
After a five-year battle with early onset Alzheimer’s disease, Judy went peacefully on April 21.
