Dr. Jui-Sung Hung was born in Taiwan on September 27, 1936. The greatest joys of Dr. Hung's life were his family and the practice and teaching of medicine. His love of medicine improved the quality of and saved the lives of thousands in his home countries of Taiwan, Japan and the US, as well as all the countries he traveled to. His love of learning and teaching enriched the minds of the doctors, nurses and students in his care. His love for his friends and colleagues was such that he considered them family also.
And his love for his family, including his mother, father, brother and brother’s family, his elders, cousins and their families (of whom there are so very many!), and of course, Ching-Mei, Margaret, Selena, Chris, Nate and Jason knew no bounds. The world feels dim now that he is gone, but it will continue to shine bright because he left it a much better place than when he entered it.
Dr. Hung is survived by his wife, Ching-Mei, his daughter Margaret, and his daughter Selena, son-in-law Chris, and grandsons Nate and Jason.
