

Mr. Kichul Lee was born on 12 December 1927 as the first son (among 6 brothers and sisters) of Mr. Geunbok Lee and Mrs. Myungbok Lee in Yunbaek, Hwanghae Province in Korea. Graduated from Haeju East Middle and High School.
He married to Sunhwal Kim on 18 July 1953, and has three sons and two daughters.
He served as a communication and interpreter officer and discharged as major in the Korean Army.
After the discharge from the Korean Army, he worked as the managing director for Dongjin Trading Company. He attended Korea University Management Certificate Program. He moved to Hanjin Corporation and played a key role in the acquisition of Korean Airlines. Then he worked as the director in charge of Business Department and Planning Department. He was also in charge of negotiating new routes including Seoul to LA route and purchasing airplanes. He got an assignment as an executive in charge of foreign operations for Korean Airlines and moved to Los Angeles.
He settled down in Rancho Palos Verdes near LA. After retiring from Korean Airlines, he established and managed K.C. Lee Commercial Real Estate Company and retired at 70.
His hobby was traveling. He lived a life of highly spirited fighter, overcoming many difficulties.
He was socially outgoing and was very popular among people, whether traveling on a cruise ship or spending his last years in Silverado Community.
He passed away on 10 June 2019.
