Kyepok was born in 1960 to Kim Song Bong (Father) and Han Hwa Suk (Mother) in Kangwondo Injae, South Korea, where she lived for 23 years before moving to the United States with former spouse, Mark Hjuler. Kyepok completed 22 years of service as a government civilian working as a dental technician at several military posts throughout the world. Her final post was at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, where she worked for the past 5 years. She was always a member of a local Christian church and her love and passion for God only grew stronger throughout the years. She was involved in different ministries such as choir, bible studies, missions and cooking. She had a heart for and had been looking forward to going on a missions trip to Haiti through her church. Kyepok loved to travel and was planning to retire in 2022 and spend her time traveling and enjoying her hobbies: golfing, exercising, hiking, drawing, painting, and spending quality time with family and friends. Everyone who knew her would know that she had the biggest warmest heart and always went above and beyond with everything she did.
Kyepok is survived by her brothers and sisters, Kye Hwa, Chil Sung, Kye Sun, Kye Cha, Dong Chun, Dong Sik, and Dong Wan; her daughter and her husband, Stacy and Christopher Kim Jr.; her son and his wife, Robert and Isabel Hjuler; and her six grandchildren, Asher, Ethan and Iris Kim and Mathias, Titus and Elias Hjuler; her father and mother in law, Donald and Darlene Hjuler; brothers in law Mike Hjuler (deceased) and Craig Hjuler; sisters in law Debbie Hjuler Campbell, Denise Hjuler Purdy, and Donna Lauritsen; and her many nieces and nephews.
You will always and forever be in our hearts and will be deeply missed. May you have peace and comfort up in Heaven with our Heavenly Father. You were a wonderful woman and beautiful mother and we will see you again in Heaven. We love you so so much.
