Lois Jean Montgomery

March 23 1930 - March 16 2018 Lois Jean Montgomery age 87 passed away peacefully at her home in Dana Point on Friday March 16 2018. Lois loved those around her and gave of herself endlessly all of her life. She lived her life with a joy like no other. Lois was born in Los Angeles CA where she met the love of her life Dr. Samuel Alvin Montgomery better known as "Monty." They were married on December 3 1967 and eventually moved to Orange County. Lois and Monty shared a life full of love and laughter until his death. She obtained her real estate license and actively sold real estate in Laguna Beach and surrounding areas for over 40 years. Lois loved to travel and saw many amazing places around the world with Monty and continued to travel extensively after his death. She was a week shy of climbing on a jet plane to see the Great Wall of China one last time. Of all the things in Lois's life the most important thing to her was her sobriety. She loved and cherished her sobriety for 61 and ½ years. Lois helped hundreds of people achieve sobriety and helped heal and save many families. The joy for her sobriety was infectious and people wanted to be around her because they truly wanted what she had. She showed us how to live by living with grace and integrity. Lois's spirit and love for life will live on in those that were blessed to know her. Lois is survived by the many people that she sponsored and considered family.
