Lucyann Walsh Cameron, age 98, of Corona Del Mar, California passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. Lucyann was born July 22, 1924.

Lucyann Walsh Cameron, daughter of Lucille K. Walsh and Ralph W. Walsh, passed away on August 23, 2022 at the age of 98. Born in East Orange, NJ in 1924, Lucyann's family moved to Los Angeles, CA when she was 7 years old. She loved growing up in the their Hancock Park neighborhood and made many lifetime friends. During the summer's, her family rented a beach house on Balboa Island, Newport Beach where her love of the beach began. She attended Westlake School for Girls and later USC.

Lucyann was married to Alexander C. "Sandy" Cameron, Jr. until his death. They had two sons, Alexander C. "Cam" Cameron and Scott W. Cameron. In 1957 Lucyann and Sandy moved the family to Irvine Terrace, Corona del Mar, CA where she lived in the same home until her death. She was devoted to her family and volunteered as a Cub Scout den mother. Little League mother and a fan of any activity in which her children were involved.

As a 50 year old member of the Balboa Bay Club, Lucyann loved sitting on the beach with her family and friends and getting way too much sun!

Lucyann's entrepreneurial talents emerged when she opened a Christmas tree lot with a friend while in her early 20's. While in her 40's, and her children less dependent, she opened an antique shop, Consignment Ltd., with two friends and developed into a very successful venture, the Red Plate Company, with two friends and developed into a very successful giftware company. Forevermore Lucyann was affectionately known as "the Red Plate Lady"! Years later she orchestrated the sale of the company to a German Firm and officially retired.

Lucyann was an active volunteer her entire life, first with the Red Cross during WWII, later at the Fairview Development Center and the Sherman Gardens. She was also an active Junior League member. In her 90's she volunteered to deliver meals for Meals on Wheels. More than one of her clients said "Shouldn't I be delivering this meal to you?"

Lucyann's husband, Sandy, her sister Sally Walsh Rhodes and most of her many friends preceded her in death. Surviving Lucyann are her two sons and her grandchildren, Neil C. Olson (Katie), Margaret K. Cameron (Eric Connolly), Chasen A. Cameron , Alexander S. Olson, Catherine S. Cameron, Sara E. Giuliano (Tim) and six great grandchildren.

Lucyann was interred at Pacific View Memorial Park in Corona Del Mar, CA.
