

Mari was born on January 28, 1932, in County Kerry, Ireland. She married the adventurous Irishman Frank Turley in 1952 after meeting him at a dance in Dublin. Frank left Ireland in 1957 for America and soon fell in love with Orange County, California. A year later, Mari packed up her life, including her three young children, leaving behind her mother and all that was familiar to start her new life with Frank in California. They were happily married for 54 years before Frank’s passing on February 13, 2006. Mari waited exactly 20 years to join Frank again in heaven.
Mari was fiery, loved to laugh, and had a sharp wit that could disarm and delight. She was never afraid to speak her mind. Her elegance was undeniable, her standards high, and her loyalty and love unwavering. She loved fashion and had impeccable taste. She cherished the classics. She never tired of old cinema, especially Errol Flynn, and she was passionate about classical music, particularly Andrea Bocelli. Everyone who met Mari adored her. Above all, Mari loved being a mother.
Mari is survived by her loving daughters, Nuala Turley, Ann Adams, and Stephanie Jones; her son, Jerry Turley; her grandsons, Devin Daniels and John Adams; and her great-grandchildren, Parker Daniels, Marielle Daniels, and Ryan Daniels. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Frank Turley, daughter Mary Rose Daniels, grandson Ryan Daniels, brother Maurice Culhane, mother Mary Kierney, and father Maurice Culhane.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 24 at 10 a.m. at St. John Vianney Catholic Chapel, 314 Marine Avenue, Balboa Island, with Interment at Pacific View Memorial Park, Corona Del Mar, Ca.
