Nicole Ilana Gyurik

Nikki was born in Newport Beach, graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, and received her Masters from SUNY Buffalo. She pursued a career as a social worker, specializing in adolescent and young adult therapy. Nikki loved the outdoors, live music, gardening, and spending time with her extended family and friends.

Nikki is survived by her mother, Agi Gyurik; husband, Kenneth Cowan; their children, Lily and Amelia Cowan; sister, Andy Drakeford (Robert Stein) and nephews, Simon & Maxwell Drakeford; mother-in-law, Joyce Cowan; brother-in-law, Alan Cowan (Cynthia Samson) and niece and nephew, Zoe & Jeremy Cowan; and sister-in-law, Sharon Landay (Larry) and nieces, Sophia & Samantha Landay.

A funeral service for Nicole will be held Friday, March 3, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Congregation B'nai Israel, 2111 Bryan Ave., Tustin, CA 92782. Following the funeral service will be a graveside ceremony at 12:00 PM.
