Paul Smith was a cherished and irreplaceable piece of many hearts and lives. On February 20th, 2023, Paul's spirit transitioned to his eternal home. A loyal husband, supportive father and a doting grandfather, he lives on in our hearts and memories. Paul is survived by his wife of 50 years, Coleen, his daughter Kyndra McGregory, (son-in-law, Mike McGregory), daughter, Natalie Smith and grandchildren, Desmond, Elton and Xochii.
Paul was born in 1946 in Brooklyn, NY, to Virginia and Harold Smith. His family moved to California and graduated from Long Beach Poly High School (1964) and Cal State Long Beach (1970). He married and settled in Newport Beach, California, where he raised his family and enjoyed his beautiful ocean views. As a teacher and coach at El Rancho Junior High in Anaheim Hills, Paul was a role model to thousands of students. Those who were blessed to know Paul will hold a lifetime of memories, spreading his joy, humor, wisdom and love of life.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Paul in the future.
