

Bob was born in Salinas, California, on June 28, 1941, to Oliver and Mary Lucy Bardin. He received his bachelor’s from the University of Southern California and worked for over five decades in sales and management for the corrugated paper industry, at namely Crockett Container and Temple Inland. He was an avid traveler and loved golf, skiing (water and snow), fishing, hiking with his dogs, and playing canasta, cribbage, and poker with his friends and family.
Bob’s legacy may be best known through his relationships with others. Bob has an extensive network of family and friends, and all who knew him relate stories of his genuine desire to help others, his reliability, and good humor. Bob loved regaling stories of his beloved dogs, high school track feats, misadventures with his Kappa Alpha fraternity brothers, and detailed explanations of his travels.
Bob is survived by his wife, Carole Anne Bardin, his three children, Robert Jr. (Joanne: Kira and Reid) Bardin, Erin (Michael: Grace and Eleanor) Kent, and Erica Bardin, his sister, Ginger (Gary) Mayhew, his nephew Doug Mayhew, niece Sharon (Matthew: Cassandra) Saxton, niece Jenny (Jason) Curtis, niece Shannon (Matt: Ella and Kate) Beckwith, and sister-in-law, BJ Logan.
Services will be held at the Pacific View Memorial Park and Mortuary on Friday, May 12, at 2:00 pm.
