35 years ago this beautiful young man came into this world.  He brought so much joy into my life and the life of others.  Not a minute goes by that I do not think about his sweet soul.♥️🙏♥️

We are so proud of Austin doing a reading at Jeff's funeral mass today.  Father Mark of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church did such an amazing job.  We were blessed to have him as our priest.  He delivered a message that Jeff lives on, watches over us and we should have comfort in speaking to him.

Jeff,

We honored your amazing life today. The memories of you and your dad’s trip to Utah stands out. The two of you driving around our little town in crazy snow trying to find a sushi joint for Zach’s birthday was priceless.  When you took the time to help our grandkids learn how to surf, will always be your legacy. The love you gave to your mom is truly a gift that she will forever cherish….

Jeff, your mass was so beautiful the priest helped me understand ♥️ he said you and him would of had great talks about liking all the same cool stuff. You would of been so proud of Austin he did an awesome job handled himself very professional and most of all was there for your mom. The priest mentioned the dash you left here and I just had to say how proud our family was of you and all that you accomplished in such a short time here on earth🙏🤲 love you forever in all our hearts 💕 

I thought if I didn't leave a memory then it wouldn't be real. But today we say goodbye to you at your memorial mass for the family . You will forever be that handsome sweet little boy that I remember bringing so much love to your mom and Dad and to our family . I can still hear Mita saying such a pretty boy ❤ now I look at Austin and that is what we are blessed with looking at your handsome boy. I know you will be watching over him and your mom mijio she needs you to she is so 💔 without you. So many good and funny memories of you as a child and as an adult one of my best watching you hold your son in the hospital when he was born. I couldn't believe that little boy that took such pride in his aunt Anna taking care of business when anybody messed with you kids had grown up and had become a daddy. I will forever hold you in my heart and until we see each other again keep those little old people in line up there mijio rest easy see you at a beautiful sunset 🙏🤲💛

Love you and miss you Jeff. From Chico to Mexico to Miami to SD. We had many memories but this weekend was my favorite in your town. I wish I could back to that night. It was so much fun and unforgettable uncontrollable laughter. See you in the next one brother

Jeff, I love you dude. I’m going to miss you man. You were my childhood best friend. Rosemary took us everywhere. Surf trips, Major League Baseball games, Lakers games, concerts, trips to Mexico, Hawthorne work parties,  days at Aunt lightnings pool, meeting blink 182, or just a casual sleep over..  oh, and I can’t forget Jeff and I up there with the Priest as alter boys. There’s not many childhood memories without Jeff. He was always ahead of his years. His voice dropped and he went through puberty before all of us. He was a man amongst us boys. Jeff taught me what was cool as a kid.. whether it was classic hits or new age rock, he always was showing me rad music. He made growing up so fun. We would throw water balloons at cars and collect hub caps from cool cars in the neighborhood. We thought we were getting away with something.. we remained close in high school and stayed in touch as life unraveled. I was so honored when we touched base about a year ago.. he wrote me congratulating me on my new baby girl and told me I was one of his best friends and he’s proud to have me as a friend. It brings me great joy and happiness to know he cherished our friendship just as much as me.. your one of a kind. Anytime I see a nice barreling wave I’ll think of you Jeff. We will get that dinner up in heaven that we were planning..  I love you Jeff. 

Dearest most precious Angel you are surely missed.  You were such a great kid and always made your mama proud. If I would of had children I'd want them to be like you. So many wonderful memories throughout the years. I remember our vacations to Roberts cottages in particular when you saw me give Randy that bad finger, you were about 7 and you were so concerned, you came by yourself to our cottage to ask if everything was ok and to make sure Randy and I were still going to be together. Randy made you a kite that day and your smile returned. The fun times at Aunt Lightning s pool and the Birthday pinatas. You tried to teach me to swim. You found a heart rock for me when you found out I liked them I was always  keep it close by. You gave me a book Follow Your True Colors to the Work You Love, such a thoughtful person , you followed your dream,  inside it reads To my Dad, my first hero, Your a hero in all our hearts., You will always be Austin's hero.  My Love Aunt Killer, the only name you ever called me. 

Celebrating Jeff’s life up in Chico. It was alot of fun getting together today to reminisce and share stories.  

Jeff, my heart is heavy as I try to write words to commemorate your life. I am extremely lucky that our moms were best friends - it means we became built-in best friends as children. So many memories from the past have been randomly coming into my head since I heard the news. The time you broke your top bunk from doing summersaults and I was sitting under it (ouch!). Our parents buying us spy toys from Target so we could pretend we were Harriet the Spy. You drinking the wine from the Eucharist when you were an alter boy, all of us in the audience laughing. Us being together when we heard that both Princess Diana died and when we heard about 9/11. Your mischievous grin that really hasn't changed much over the years. The surf trip we took when I tried to be as cool as you and your friends. You taking the fall for me smoking cigarettes in the woods at church camp (sorry mom and dad).  Even though we grew apart as we got older, I always got updates on you through my mom and was so proud to hear of the person you became - a devoted dad, a successful nurse, a loving son. You were such a good person, the world has lost a light. We will all miss you so much Jeff. Rest easy my friend. Until we meet again... 

I was just looking through our text messages bro.. sucks that we never got to surf or go running. Thank you for showing me so much love. Love you bro. 

Btw, cant believe you told your mom about the hazing lol. Hacks when I get up there! Haha

We had so much fun this day. We went to Puerto Nuevo to eat lobster at our usual spot and then Rosarito to the beach. We were at the bar having a blast. We laughed sooo much all night, I remember telling you I needed a picture because of that big smile of yours. To this day it’s still my favorite picture. You then INSISTED to do some fireworks on the beach. And like a kid you were soo happy lighting those things 😂 i was too scared to light any being the mom that I am so I just supervised and watched you light them making sure you didnt get hurt. You fell so many times running away from them but you were having a blast. You were always so adventurous, never scared of anything ❤️ I miss you💕

You were my best friend, and partner. You came into my life over 3 years ago. I remember the first day I met you like it was yesterday. We met at work and you were so quick to talk to me. We became so crazy about eachother. And then life happend, ups and downs, but you always remained in my life. You were my best friend, despite our separate ways, we were still there for eachother. Even though I was pulling my hair out half the time😂  We could never be apart too long. You helped me through nursing school, You would even do some of my psych homework for me. Taught me everything you knew. So many adventures with you. Our trips to TJ for facials and massages. Our beach days and shopping trips to Ross. Our movie nights watching crime documentaries. I can go on with our memories. We found our way back to eachother and had so many plans for our future. We were already planning our trip to Peru. I already miss you waking me up at 2am because you’d be blasting Snoop Dog 😂 I’m so grateful to have been a part of your life. Especially the last few months with you. Thank you for giving me a love I can never replace. I’ll always love you ❤️ 

I am writing with a shy hand as I ponder the unbelievable tragedy that is the untimely death of my dear godson, Jeff.  He was just a really sweet human being who also had a good sense of humor, two great traits to have together.  Some things I remember: Jeff as a newborn when Rose had him swaddled like a tight burrito; great Halloween costumes from an early age (Eddie Munster was a standout): swimming like a fish in the pool even after a grueling water polo practice; looking so adorable in his tux for my wedding; hanging with his buddies on a motorhome surf trip; and hanging with his devoted dad Robbie. In recent years I think of him with his own awesome son Austin who has inherited so many of his good characteristics. I don't know what happens when our soul departs but I wish Jeff a peaceful journey with a soft landing on the love and prayers of his family and friends. xoxo Donna (and Dick)

Jeff made everyone smile. He was truly such a kind soul and a good person. I only knew him for a short amount of time but he was a dear friend to me from the moment we met. He always made me laugh and was very intelligent and driven. He also always spoke about his love for his son which warmed my heart. He will truly be missed! May the angels watch over him. My deepest condolences to the family. Sending prayers and love during this difficult time.

Jeff, man I don’t know where to start ... Still seems unreal it was just the other day we spoke .Man do I  have some great memories growing up with you . From little league pirates ,to San O surf trips and camping   with both our popps . And when your mom dropped us off at the Sex Pistols show at the Greek . Man I love you bro this is tough ! Catch some waves up there for me ! Rest easy brother Jeff 🌊🌊

Jeff and my dad were great pals. ❤️ Jeff was meeting us to set up a bonfire when my parents were in town.

One of my bestfriends during elementary school at Fremont! I remember in fifth grade we went to some houses and smashed pumpkins 😂. Damn he will be missed. See you in the next one brother this time we’ll bbq and crack some brews.

Jeff was my first elementary school crush (I don’t know if he ever knew that!). He would walk around with his big backpack, always hanging rather low on his back. He was always the kindest guy. Jeff and his dad gave me one of his old surfboards that we just fixed up this last week for my son to start learning on. My heart goes out to his family and friends. 

When we lived together and I would start singing he would call me “kids bop” 😂 ❤️ The funniest insult I’ve ever received 

Jeff always helped take care of Leo. Jeff was the only person Leo trusted to pick him up. He nursed him to health after he had surgery. His love and care for others was unlike anyone. Jeff and I lived together during quarantine and for over a year prior. We were family. He had the best sense of humor and never let us miss a sunset. 

Robert, my best work buddy, I’m really gonna miss you, you made those 12hr shifts blow by like a breeze. from keeping our unit in order, to sitting at the same table all night laughing about dumb things, to doing karate in the Day room and getting caught lol, making sure we had coffee every shift, ordering $10 edamame, i can go on and on with all the memories…. You became not just my coworker but by best buddy at work and I’m really gonna miss you bud. Until we meet again….. one day we’ll go eat those lobsters ❤️ 

Your will be miss jeff but never forgotten.  I love u brothe. See u again

I knew Jeff for like 20 plus years. He remembers me from Fremont Elementary.  I was a couple grades ahead of him. We became friends in High School. So many memories. We saw “The Game” In concert twice. Couple other concerts. Took a few trips together. I moved from Long Beach to OC for a few years. I used to crash on his couch when I hung out in LB. We recorded corny rap sungs. It was so bad. He made some cool beats. He would actually help engineer songs for Skunk Records (The label SUBLIME was signed to. We would hit up local bars. I’ll miss my friend. We’ve gone through some things together.  Vaya Con dios brother.

Robert is a great nurse, and a great person to work with. He will be greatly missed! Condolences to all his family and friends!

You were an amazing person and nurse. I’m going to miss seeing you, and our talks about growing up in the same neighborhood. Rest easy Robert until we meet again. My prayers go out to Roberts family and friends, 

Robert was a trusted and valued charge nurse, our team members will miss him dearly. Saving a spot on the rail for you when I get to Baja brotha.
