Sabra, 81, passed away on September 28 in Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach.
Sabra graduated with Bachelor’s degree from San Diego State in 1965 and taught school in Long Beach for five years. After her marriage to Pete Bordas in 1968, she devoted her life to volunteer work, including Brownie and Cub Scouts, the National Charity League and her current association with the Philharmonic Society of Orange County. She was a board member, chairman and vice chairman of the previously mentioned organization.
Sabra was born in Berkley and survived by her brother John in Redwood City, and her sister Mary in Austin Texas, her two children, including Sharon in Los Angeles and Stephen and his wife Katie in Irvine.
A memorial service will be held on October 15 at Pacific View memorial park at 2pm.
Contributions in her memory should be made to the Philharmonic Society of Orange County.
A chapel service for Sabra will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Pacific View Mortuary & Memorial Park, 3500 Pacific View Drive, Corona Del Mar, California 92625.
