Wayne Engel

Wayne Engel passed away in Oak Harbor, Washington on Saturday October 16th at 9:47pm. He was closely surrounded by family. He was 83 years old. Our beloved Pop (Wayne) was born on March 10,1939 to the late Sidney Engel and Helen Engel. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and lived there until he was 5yrs of age, when the family then moved to Tujunga, Ca. Wayne attended Verdugo Jr. and High School. He played baseball and was awarded a special mitt for his sports ability. Wayne took great pride in his 1955 Turquoise and White Plymouth. It was at this time, he met the love of his life Jeanette Gold, whom he married in 1959 at the age of 21.

Wayne was so loved and will be missed. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Engel, his children Lori Birdsong (Al Birdsong), Todd Engel (Tiffani Engel), Kami Engel (Brandon Murphy), his grandchildren Sydney, Chelsey, Kellen, Karlie, Tucker, Hudson, Rylee, Chloe and his great grandchildren Lexi and Levi. He is also survived by his only sibling Sandra Feder and his nephews Dan, Ron, Marcus and their families.
