Yolanda Elena Roberson was born on December 9, 1928. Shortly after immigrating to the United States, she met her future husband, who was a First Lieutenant in the United States Army and was stationed in Los Angeles at the time. She married Dr. William Douglas Roberson on November 25, 1960, in Las Vegas.

During their marriage, Yolanda and her husband built and operated a successful veterinary practice in Anaheim. When her daughters were grown, Yolanda began a career as a realtor and accomplished real estate investor. She stayed very active in real estate for the rest of her life.

Community service was always very important to Yolanda. For nearly sixty years, she was involved in countless philanthropic organizations, often holding leadership positions, including: Anaheim Arts Council; Anaheim Beautiful; Anaheim Historical Society; Assistance League of Anaheim; Anaheim Library; Anaheim Memorial Medical Center Build, Guardian Angels; Chamber of Commerce -Women’s Division; Ebell Club of Anaheim; Orange County Ostomy Association; Orange County Philharmonic Society; Segerstrom Center for the Arts - Arturo Toscanini Chapter; The Harp Guild, Orange County Pacific Symphony Association; Toastmistress Council; and Southern California Veterinary Medical Association – Women's Auxiliary.

One of the highlights of Yolanda’s philanthropic work was when she was selected by the Mayor of Anaheim to serve as an ambassador in Mito, Japan, Anaheim’s sister city. Yolanda always enjoyed traveling the world with her family. She, especially, enjoyed exploring China, Japan, Russia and many parts of Europe.

Yolanda will be remembered for being a second mother to many, for always giving sage advice, and for being a wonderful mother and friend.

Yolanda is survived by her two daughters, Yvette Darlene Roberson, M.D. (Stephen K. Vetter, J.D., LL.M.) and Pamela Roberson Baggish, J.D., LL.M. (Stuart H. Baggish, J.D.), and her four beloved grandchildren, Courtney Vetter, Alexander Vetter, Owen Roberson Baggish and Reagan Scarlett Baggish.
