Abel was a security officer at Spohn Shoreline Hospital for over 30 years. He also did volunteer work at Spohn Hospital after his retirement. His memory will be cherished forever.
Abel is survived by his wife Emma Salazar; children Idalina and Abel Salazar, Jr.; sister Idalina Padilla; brother Daniel Salazar; 9 grand-children and 12 great-grandchildren.
A Special Thanks to the 2nd floor staff at the Palm's Nursing Home for the care of Abel and a Special Thanks to Dr. Robert Vela and his Staff.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2011, at Funeraria del Angel Chapel, 549 Cheyenne Street in Corpus Christi, Texas.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for funeral expenses.
