

Adela E. Guardado, 72, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on June 25, 2021. She was born in Laredo, Texas on February 6, 1949 and graduated from J.W. Nixon High School. She received an Associate degree in the medical field.
She worked as a Medical Laboratory Technician for 45 years throughout Laredo, Houston and Corpus Christi, Texas before retiring. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church.
Adela loved to spend time with her sisters and also loved to travel to see them. She was a cat lover and had cats all of her life. She loved going to the movies on Saturdays with her family and visited the Senior Center every week to spend time with her friends.
She loved doting on her nephews and nieces and will be lovingly missed by all of them.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Amador and Esperanza Guardado. She is survived by her sisters, Maria Dolores (William) Smith and Amalia G. (Israel) Bustamante; nieces, Esperanza (Michael) Flores, Christina A. (Patrick) Daniels, and Rebecca Bustamante; nephew, William T. Smith; several great nieces and nephews, Andrew Martinez, Christian Garcia, Jr., Isabella Garcia, Michael Edward Flores, Malazai Flores, Augustina Daniels and Constantine Daniels.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home beginning at 8:30 AM. Holy Rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM with Memorial Service to follow at 10:00 AM. Inurnment will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery at 11:15 AM.
