Agustin Villanueva

He was born on May 5, 1935 in Rio Verde, San Luis Potosi, Mexico but resided in La Noria to Ignacio Villanueva and Julia Alvarado.

Agustin is survived by his wife of 68 years, Leonides Ferretiz, and their 7 children Carmen Villanueva (Juan Garcia), Angel Villanueva (Aurelia), Maria de la Luz Villanueva (Arturo), Gina Jacinto (Manuel), Maria de Socorro Villanueva (Freddy), Guadalupe Villanueva (Cesar), Alfredo Villanueva (Gloria), 26 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews that will miss him dearly.

He enjoyed watching baseball games in his hometown and also enjoyed going to rodeo’s with his family and friends. He loved riding his grandkids on his donkey (la burra), on Sunday morning he would take his family into town for family breakfast tradition “Menudo”. He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, Rosary starting at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on January 6, 2024 at 10:00 am with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
