Aiko was born on September 17, 1931 in Sapporo, Japan on the Island of Hokkaido. She retired as a Japanese Federal Employee during which she worked for The American Military. In 1975 she moved to the USA, working numerous odd jobs before finding her place as a night auditor. Aiko attended Del Mar College, receiving an Associates’ Degree in Art. She held her own gallery shows winning numerous ribbons. She obtained her citizenship in the 80’s, a proud moment in her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her 13 siblings. She leaves behind her husband of 44 years, Perfecto Rodriguez Cavazos, brother-in-law, Noe Cavazos (Sylvia) and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
The family will be receiving friends at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Sunday, November 1, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
