Amada C. Davila

Amada C. Davila went to be with our Lord and Savior on July 12, 2012 at the age of 86. She was born and raised in Mission, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Urbano Corpus and Maria Chavez Corpus; husband, Narciso Davila; brothers, Guadalupe Corpus, Liverato Corpus, Platon Corpus, Juan Corpus, Jose Corpus and sister, Livoria Pulley.

Amada was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a Pastor. She became a licensed pastor in January 3, 2000, and was a Pastor of “Cristo La Roca” church where, alongside her husband, she faithfully served the Lord.

She also served as a church secretary and a bookkeeper and worked at Driscoll Children’s Hospital.

Her love of Christ and her devotion to God led her to help countless people in need; she was an inspiration and example of Christ’s love-to-all. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, David Davila, Linda Davila, Sylvia Rosener (Kirk), Gloria D. Garcia (Jose M.), Irma Alvarez (Jesse), Oscar Davila (Norma), Hector Davila, Elda Davila, Daniel Davila; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Raquel Corpus Flores and Micaela Guerrero.

Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Corpus Christi Christian Fellowship, 6602 S. Staples, officiated by Pastor Donald G. Leavell, Sr. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Oscar Davila, Oscar Davila, Jr., Christopher Davila, Danny Davila, Michael Mayorga and Andrew Davila.
