Amelia P. Avalos

Amelia was a stay at home mom/grandma and provided care for her family for decades. She had a passion for spending time with her friends and meeting new people. She enjoyed spending weekends and evenings with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She will always be remembered as being a sweet and loving lady who always welcomed you to her surroundings.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Arturo Avalos; mother, Pauline Garza and father, Marcilino Parras.

She is survived by her children: Esther Garrett, Virginia (James) Barrera, Vera (Jack) Avalos, Michelle (Gabriel) Casares, Johnny Avalos and Adrian Avalos. She is also survived by her sister, Linda (William) Canfield and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 beginning at 8:30 AM with Holy Rosary recited at 9:30 AM. Funeral Services will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home at 10:00 AM with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
