Antonio Pimentel, Sr, ( Boy) 74, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on October 24, 2023. He was born in Petronila, Texas on August 5, 1949. He was the son of the late Juan Antonio Pimentel and the late Dora Pimentel of Petronila, Texas.
Antonio grew up in a big family with nine sisters and five brothers. After the passing of his father, he stepped up to care for his mother at a very young age. He made sure she was well taken care of up until her passing. He loved her and did the best he could to care for her, he was proud of both of his parents.
Antonio married his best friend, who will remain the love of his life, Irma Martinez Pimentel on January 28, 1968. He was a devoted, loving father to his six amazing children - Rick (Rose) Dalia, Tony, Jr., Lydia (Max), Israel (Melissa), Benessa (John). He taught them to never be afraid to work hard and never to take a day for granted. He was always proud of their life's accomplishments and would share heartfelt pep talks with each of them. He made countless sacrifices reminding us all of his compassion and kindness. He loved all of his 25 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He made every effort to be part of their lives, creating beautiful memories for them.
Antonio was a hard working, family man. There was not one thing that he could not do. He was a savvy mechanic, as he could work on any type of engine. The times that he worked in the oil field as a mechanic were some of his most fulfilling professions that he was proud of. He would work on wood working and craft projects that he would share with Irma. He loved to Bar-B-que, cook some tasty "tripas", listening to either Hank Williams Jr, Waylon Jennings, or some good old tejano music while having cold one sitting at his patio. He especially enjoyed taking annual getaway trips to the Frio River with his family. Antonio was a devoted Lutheran. He was well respected and the “favorite tio/uncle” of the family ❤️. He had a huge impact on everyone’s lives. We are so proud of the man that he was, teaching life lessons and being present for his family. He was a Legend who lived a Beautiful Life. Antonio’s legacy will continue on through his family, each and every one of them. He will be tremendously missed by all.
We would like to thank everyone that supported us during this difficult time. We are forever grateful to you.
