

Arnoldo Longoria was born in Corpus Christi, TX on January 29, 1931 to Raymundo Longoria from Matamoros, MX and Antonia Soriano from Zacatecas, MX. Arnoldo graduated from Corpus Christ High School in 1947.
Arnoldo married the love of his life Emilia "Emma" Gonzales on February 26, 1950 in Corpus Christi, Tx and they had six children.
Arnoldo held numerous jobs to include: Mutters Bakery in Corpus Christi, La Villita Café which his mother owned and operated, Longoria Taxi which his father owned and operated and the City of Corpus Christi reading meters. He eventually went to work for the U.S. Postal Service in Corpus Christi in 1957. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service as an accountant in 1992. Post retirement he worked another 18 years delivering phone books and for Enterprise Rental Car.
Arnoldo was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Although he never said exactly when he started following the Cowboys, he did say that he had been a fan of the Dodgers since he was 11 years of age. Arnoldo not only loved watching professional sports but was also very active in attending practices and games of his grandchildren who played sports.
Arnoldo was preceded in death by his father and mother, his sister Carlota Longoria, his brother Manual Longoria and other sisters and brothers, his wife Emma, his two sons Alfonso and Joe and his grandson
Anthony. Arnoldo is survived by his son, Arnoldo Longoria (Julia), his daughter Jeanine Longoria(Ernest),
his daughter Betty Oliver (Jeff) and daughter Deborah Rivas (David), grandchildren Joshua Longoria, Laura Bradley and Emily Longoria, Alfonso Longoria, Erika Longoria, Joe Longoria, Joe Andrew Longoria, Lalo Cisneros, Robert Torres, Dallas Rivas, Dezaray Rivas, Matt Vera, Quinton Oliver, Sara Oliver, Alexia and Alfonso Longoria and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and a nephew John Longoria.
Arnoldo's last wishes were to recognize his caregivers to include: Ms. Andy, Ms. Rosario, Ms. Anita,
Carmen and Regulo Campos, Kyla and Elizabeth.
Pallbearers will be Matt Vera, Alfonso Longoria, Quinton Oliver, Joshua Longoria, Dallas Rivas and Servando Gomez. Honorary Pallbearers are Lalo Cisneros, Robert Torres and Andrew Lopez.
A visitation for Arnoldo will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415 with a holy rosary beginning at 7:00 PM. A continued visitation will occur Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 9:00 AM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with a prayer service beginning at 10:00 AM. A burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
