Arthur Salazar III

With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, grandson, great-grandson, nephew, and Cousin, Arthur Salazar III, also known lovingly as “Baby Art” from Corpus Christi, Texas who left us on September 2, 2025, at the age of 21.

“Baby Art” had a natural charisma that drew people to him and a heart that was always ready to give. He was a mentor to his brothers, a loyal and encouraging friend, and someone who lifted spirits wherever he went. His love for working on cars and welding reflected not only his skill but also his determination and creativity.

Unbeknownst to family and friends, “Baby Art” struggled emotionally as a result his life ended prematurely and tragically. His story is not defined by that moment. “Baby Art” will be remembered for his kindness, his laughter, his generosity, and the way he cheered others on, even when he was carrying his own burdens.

He is survived by his parents Arthur Salazar Jr., Jessica Valles, his grandparents Arthur Salazar., Sandra Rodriguez (Abel), Joe Saldana, Eligio Valles, brothers Aiden Salazar, Xzorion Salazar, Jacob Salazar, sister Lacy M. Valles., great grandmothers Hermalinda Salazar and Adelaida V. Capetillo, Uncles Jonathon Salazar (Virginia "Ginny "), Jesse Rodriguez (Jennifer), Eligio Valles Jr., Joe Valles., Aunts Stephanie Gonzalez, Jacqueline M. Bruce (Kevin), Khristina Rivera, Barraza (Andy), April Rodriguez, Irma Valles, Benita Gaskins (Nathan), Margarita Myers (Orrin)., niece Ma'Rae La'Niece Atkinson, nephew La'Trevious Clay Jenkins, numerous cousins that loved him very much and many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother Mary Elisa Saldana., great-grandfathers Jose Salazar, Simon Capetillo Jr, Cesario R. Torres, Joe Valles, Alfonso Rodriguez., great-grandmothers Julia R. Torres, Maria Valles, Consuelo Rodriguez,

A visitation for Arthur will be held Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78415. A rosary will occur Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. A funeral service will occur Friday, September 19, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. A committal will occur Friday, September 19, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
