Arturo Valdez, Sr. 87 passed away on July 16, 2013. He was born on September 25, 1925 to Juan Valdez and Dolores Duran in Robstown, Texas. He retired from the City of Corpus Christi Gas division after 41 years of dedicated service. Arturo is survived by his wife Maria P. Valdez, his four children Arturo Valdez, Jr. (Norma Valdez), Norma Rodriquez, Robert Valdez, Sr. (Carolyn Valdez), Cynthia Chavez; eight grandchildren Mark A. Valdez, Christopher Valdez, Jesus Perez III (Crystal Perez), Jose Perez (Carmen Perez), Cynthia M. Santana (Christopher A. Santana), Robert Valdez, Jr. (Jessica F. Valdez), Dominic Chavez, Desiree Chavez and 14 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday, July 19, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
