

Baldemar dedicated many years of his life to pipefitting and construction, working in several refineries as well as through self-employment. He was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and pride in his trade.
Outside of work, Baldemar lived life to the fullest. He had a deep love for fishing, football—especially the Dallas Cowboys—gambling, and spending time socializing with friends and family. He also enjoyed cruising while listening to Corridos. Baldemar was a very well-known and respected man whose presence left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his father, Baldemar Rivera Sr.; his stepfather, Emilio Barrera; and his brothers, Jose Rivera and Pedro Rivera.
Baldemar is survived by his loving mother, Dolores Calderon Barrera; his children, Elizabeth Rivera, Lucy Rivera, and Baldemar “Bug” Rivera; his siblings, Lucia Lopez Rivera, Arturo Rivera, and Silvia Castillo; as well as 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved deeply.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel, located at 549 Cheyenne, Corpus Christi, TX 78405, on January 12, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:00 pm. A Holy Rosary will take place at the same venue on January 12, 2026, at 6:30 pm.
The Funeral Mass is scheduled for January 13, 2026, at 10:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2509 Nogales St, Corpus Christi, TX 78416.
The Committal Service will follow on January 13, 2026, at 11:00 am at Memory Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd, Corpus Christi, TX 78415.
Baldemar will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his strength, character, and love for his family and friends.
