Barry graduated from Amherst Reginal. He got married to Victoria Linn Graham Thornton on July 11, 1975. He had a career with the U.S. government, and worked for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, and Homeland Security. He had a passion for skeet shooting and was a member of National Skeet Shooting Assoc., as well as P3 Aircraft.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald E. Thornton and Helen L. Comins Scarborough; He is survived by his wife, Victoria Thornton, his son, Kenneth Thornton, and his daughter, Linnea Werner; his grandchild, Atley T. Epping; siblings, Diane Dubuque, Kevin Scarborough, and Philip Thornton.
No visitation or services are scheduled at this time. A short military honor detail to be held at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, TX on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.
