Belle Brazil, age 85, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on March 12, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born to parents Jerome Louis Caro and Alice Hebert Caro on December 19, 1935, in Franklin, Louisiana.
Belle is survived by daughters: Troy Chapman and husband David, Bridget Cook and husband Cody, Lana Tong and husband Ronald; daughter-in-law: Donnene McBride; brother: Louis Caro; as well as a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: husbands; Marshal T. McBride and WT Brazil; son: Ray Glen McBride; parents: Alice Hebert Caro and Jerome Louis Caro; sisters: Shirley Choate, Evelyn Ross and Helen Louviere; brothers: Theo Caro, Emanuel Caro and Victor Caro.
Belle was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Family was her life, she loved them with all her heart and was willing to do anything for them. She was always ready to help in any way she could. She loved the holidays with all the family together, laughing and making memories. She fought and survived breast cancer and lived many years fighting lung cancer. She was extraordinarily strong and determined not to let cancer take her down.
She will be dearly be missed.
Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, located at 8200 Old Brownsville Road in Corpus Christi, Texas, on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 12:30 PM. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM. Burial will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery, 4607 FM 1889, Robstown, TX 78380.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations in support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation or The Lung Cancer Foundation of America.
The funeral home requires masks to be worn for guest attending. Services will also be livestreamed on Memory Gardens Funeral Home website and Facebook page.
