Bernice Rose Johnson

Bernice Rose Johnson passed away on Monday, February 18, 2013 at the age of 92 in Ganado, Texas. She was born in Gatesville, Texas on August 1, 1920 to the late George Washington Rose and Cora Bell Wigington Rose.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, J.D. Johnson; two sisters, Ruth Eugenia Rose Alexander and Georgia Bell Rose Bounds and two brothers, Boyd Wigington Rose and Billy Jack Rose.

Bernice is survived by her daughter, Annette Johnson Burkhart (Kenneth); son, J.D. Johnson, Jr. (Stacey); grandsons; Kenneth N. Burkhart, Jr., Scott K. Burkhart, Bryan K. Burkhart, J.D. Johnson III (Sammie); granddaughters; Tanda Lynn Burkhart Crandall (Mark), Dawn Marie Johnson Robertson, Crystal Ann Johnson Stobbs (Johnny Ray), Jade Johnson Archibald (Andrew); great grandchildren, Tiffany Burkhart, James Robertson, Kelsey Crandall, Amanda Johnson, Amber Johnson, Brittany Johnson, Kayla Stobbs and Jordan Stobbs; great great-grandchildren; Korben Riley Brown, Alayna Marie Kelsey and Keenan Wade Klatt; one sister, Savannah Rose Samples.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
