We shared so much: college life at McMurry, with Kevin, Mark, Doug; Brett and countless others; working at American Eagle Airlines, and Abilene Regional Airport Fire Dept.; making ambulance runs for Western Medi- Trans, and Dr. Hudman.  I remember eating at the Olive Garden, looking up and seeing you as my waiter, but no extra bread sticks.
I remember you working with Doug and Pam at the bronze foundry in Buffalo Gap, and sometimes at Terry’s in Tye, Texas.
I remember the phone call that there was an opening at the Corpus Christi International Airport.  I have ten months of memories at Sandcastle, you allowing me to sleep on your floor, buying me a mat, and me burning up your TV. 
We watched together as our children became young adults and often talked about how proud we were of them and how they made us feel.  We used to talk about how fortunate we were to have such loving and wonderful spouses. We tried to shared holidays when we could. Recently,  we shared a two hour lunch at Kunzina with Mary and Terry;  that was special!  We had a lot of great times! And I mean a lot!
Bobby, thank you for always caring and sharing and for always being there and mostly for being my Best Friend.

I remember when my parents would visit the family my Aunt and Uncle. Bobby would be the first to receive us all we were kids back then we played and had awsome time. Always will cherish those moments. But this last time I saw him was when my mother was very sick. She was in Hospice he brought his parents to see mom . I got to talk to him it had been years that I hadn't seen him. He talked about his family his wife and the girls he showed me pictures of his family.  I said you have beautiful family Bobby.  Who knew that would be our last time we would see him. I wish we would have had more time . Well Bobby you will be miss Cousin RIP... 

I had the privilege of once working with some great guys and one of those was Bobby Almager. Always smiling and always in a good mood. When I had the opportunity to assemble my shift, he was the first guy I picked. No matter what I asked of him, his response was always, " what you got " and with a smile. He made all our lives a pleasure when we were on the job and he was around. He never took himself serious but took his job and friendship seriously. I can't say I ever met his wife and daughters but I know that if he was anything like I knew him, they had both a terrific husband and wonderful father. To the entire Almager family, thank you for sharing him just a little. God Bless

My loving primo, Bobby, to Oscar , Richard, and I he was our little brother when we moved from south Texas to West Texas in 1967 it was a blessing to have a baby around us cause from all the of our clan of cousins we r the oldest of all of them!! But my biggest memory is that just two weeks ago my cousin Connie and I were with him and not knowing that was going to be our last hug from him and our last good bye😭😭😭 we r so heartbroken but we r kinda relief that we got to spent time with him with his laughs and talking and him watching us dance...fly high my angel until we meet again😢😢Love you very much!!💜💜💜

Anytime we were waiting for a flight to come in or depart, Bobby was almost always there to visit with us even for just a quick hello. The airport will never be the same without him.  We'll forever love and miss you, Bobby.  

I saw Bobby right before my mom passed away. I hadn’t seen him in some years. My mom was in hospice and he had knee surgery and he was visiting his mom and dad (my aunt and uncle). He brought them to come visit my mom. He was so happy just joking and laughing. I wish at that time I would have had more time to talk, but my concern at the time was my mom. I do appreciate he brought his parents to come see mom and the fact that the last memory of him was laughing and joking. To the family my condolences. I was very saddened to hear of his loss.  I met Bobby in 1986 at McMurry University.  We spent many late nights working on art assignments for our Design class.   Thirty-one years later I still have a  ceramic vase and a bolo-tie he made.  My favorite memory is when he convinced me to join him in an advanced  Drawing class as a "still life" model.   We had to sit for hours for art students.  Later that year he taught me how to use an air-brush to create a large mural.   And I always think of him and his laughter when we saw the movie TREMORS in 1990.   He laughed so hard in the theater.  He had lots to say about the stupidity of the two main characters.  Bobby was a good friend,  a patient teacher, and wise older brother to me.  I miss him already.  Peace be with you.

Bobby was one of three of my Lieutenants at CCIA and he always had a smile. He drink his coffee every money and joke around with all of us. Bobby was a good supervisor and great person who treated everyone with respect. I miss his laugh and sitting with him at the office just talking about every day life. Thank you for having such a huge impact in my life you will be surely missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Bobby at CCIA up until my retirement in 2005. I knew him being a very dedicated and positive officer a respectful young man with always a kind word and a warm smile.  When my younger sister suddenly passed he bought me a book on grieving, I wish I could now be able to share that book with his family. Rest In Peace Bobby you leave many grateful people that loved you and were honored to be touch by your true kindness 


I worked with Bobby for 3 years starting back in 2010.  Something I will never forget is how he would talk to his Wife & daughters when they called him on the phone. He would definitely let them know how much he Loved them every time they talked. Now that I have a family, this is something I try and emulate from Bobby Almager.

Bobby was one of my Lieutenants at the airport and he had a huge impact in my life. From his kindness to his knowledge about Firefighting and EMT skills helped mold me into the fireman I am today. I’m deeply saddened to hear about his loss and will surely miss him. He was an idol that I strive to be one day and I continue to pray for his friends and family.

We have lost a great Public Safety Lieutenant, a great co-worker, and a loved member of our family at CCIA. My heart, prayers, and deepest sympathies go to Bobby's family. God Bless them and God Bless Bobby. He will be missed by many, many people. Rest easy, Brother.

I never saw you without a smile even when you helped my parents move.  RIP in my friend.
