Carlos “Chale" Ramirez, 60 was met at the gates of heaven by his son Benjamin Lewis Ramirez. Chale passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family after a long, valiant battle with cancer. Chale was born and raised in Molina “Mo-Town” Texas and was a graduate of West Oso H.S. Class of 77’; GO BEARS!
His passion for cars and helping people drove him through college at Del Mar where he graduated in 1979 and then went on to create a life of family and friends through his mechanic work.
Chale had an enormous heart. Although he carried many close, his purest joy in life were his 10 grandchildren. He could be found at any given time camped out in bed with any of his grandbabies sharing his snack stash, setting snacks aside for Karlee, Xavien, Isaiah, or handing out report card money to Braylon. He was extremely proud of Mikayla, Ivan, and Brooklyn’s accomplishments in sports and Mya’s accomplishments in music. He also beamed with pride over the hard workers Matthew and Lanai had become. The back porch was where many long heart to heart conversations took place with his favorite mother-in-law, Amalia Olmeda, over the next house project , or what was for dinner. The short walk over to his beloved mother's house for breakfast, coffee, and Sunday mornings at church were moments he cherished with her.
Chale also loved ANY good food, loud Tejano music blaring from his little blue speaker, fishing with his best friend Isreal Olmeda, and taking road trips with his family; especially, random gambling trips with his daughters and Cowboys football games with his sons.
Carlos was preceded in death by his son, Benjamin Lewis Ramirez; father, Julian Ramirez Sr., mother-in-law, father-in-law and numerous aunts, uncles and close friends that became family.
He is survived by his wife, Yolanda Olmeda Ramirez; his children, Carlos (Lisa) Ramirez Jr.; Valerie Ramirez (Tim Herzog), Jeremiah (Adrienne) Ramirez, Adelina (Alejandro) Pacheco, Sara Ramirez (Angel Calderon), his ten grandchildren Matthew, Lanai, Mya, Isaiah, Ivan, Karlee, Brooklyn, Braylon, Mikayla, Xavien and his two dogs, Zoey and Titan.
