.Carmen Alvarado Peralez was called home on Friday, February 19, 2010 at the age of 84. Carmen was born on November 2, 1925 to Jesus and Josephina Alvarado. She was born and lived in Corpus Christi all of her life. Carmen was an employee of W.T. Grants and a student at Corpus Christi High School. She was a very loving and proud person. She will be dearly missed.
Carmen was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Marcio M. Peralez, Jr., one son, four brothers and two sisters.
Carmen is survived by her four daughters; Yolanda Lopez (Cecilio) of Houston, TX, Sylvia Suehs (James) of Rosharon, TX, Maria Guadalupe Landry (David) of Houston, TX, Patricia Ann Prado of Corpus Christi, TX and Tabatha Elann Prado and Gerald Prado, Jr., whom resided with her; one sister, Elena Perez; nine grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. that same evening at Funeraria del Angel Funeral Home, 549 Cheyenne Street. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 12:00 noon at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Church. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
