She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Jose Guadalupe Zapata and one sister, Minerva Samaniego.
Carolina worked for many years and retired from Memorial Medical Hospital now known as Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital.
Left to cherish her memories are her children; Peter Verduzco, Michael (Melly) Verduzco, and Betty (Gilbert) Perez; brothers Hector Zapata, Leonardo Zapata, and Olga (Armando) Garcia; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel Chapel, 549 Cheyenne, on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:30 pm that same evening.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
