Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband Doug Wade and her son David Wade. Surviving children are Cheryl Hunter, Cris Nichols, Paul Wade and Marc Wade. Surviving grandchildren are Joshua Hunter, Kathleen Hunter, Heather Nichols, and Christopher Wade and one great grand child, Zavian James.
She spent her life in the service of others with 27 years with CCISD, creating and maintaining the VIPS (Volunteer in Public Schools) program with school coordinators.
She worked for and supported her church, the First Church of Christ, Scientist for many years and in many capacities.
Besides service to others, she was an avid table tennis player and often attended tournaments. She loved a good project and was the best “worker bee” we knew.
Services will be private.
