

Charlotte E. Scott, born December 19, 1931 in Meridian, Mississippi and died March 28, 2015 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was married to John E. Scott for 61 years until his passing on September 12, 2011.
She was a church vocalist and Sunday school teacher. Charlotte was very musically inclined; playing the violin, piano, organ, banjo, and guitar. She started taking violin lessons at the age of 67. She was invited to join the Del Mar College Concert Orchestra and played the violin under the direction of conductor Todd Eihl for 6 years. She taught piano for 17 years and later guitar.
Charlotte managed various stores in Padre Staples Mall and owned and operated a floral and bridal consulting shop, winning numerous floral and yard design contests. She also loved painting and used various mediums. Always looking to help those in need, Charlotte began writing letters to soldiers in the Gulf War and even had several contact her when they returned to the states. Charlotte’s ultimate passion was travelling with her husband John.
She is preceded in death by her parents Alec and Charlotte Tims, husband John E. Scott, infant son Barry Scott and son Chris Scott.
She is survived by her children Becky Kitchen (Kim), David Scott (Michelle), grandchildren; Tiffany (Will) , Jason, Christa, Amber, Mackenzie, great grandchildren; Jay, Melanie, Emmerson, Keoni, Haley, Peyton and her loving pet Jennie Lyn.
The family would like to thank Charlotte’s church family and her neighborhood family and friends who brought her so much joy.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Cage Mills Funeral Directors from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. with a Funeral Service beginning at 2 p.m., officiated by Senior Pastor, Dr. Dana Moore, of Second Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
