to Anacleto Villarreal and Petra Treviño Villarreal. The family moved to Hebbronville, Texas in the summer of 1941. He graduated from
Hebbronville High School and Del Mar College.
He married Aurora Benavides from Falfurrias, Texas on December 12, 1954. The union lasted for 62 years until Aurora’s passing in 2016.
Together, they raised three daughters and two sons. He was drafted in 1955 into the U.S. Army and served until 1957. Afterwards, he remained in the U.S. Army Reserve and was honorably discharged on November 30, 1961 as a Staff Sergeant.
He worked for the Corpus Christi Fire Department for 35 years, retiring as a Captain. He also worked part-time for Sears for 30 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents Anacleto and Petra Villarreal, his wife Aurora B. Villarreal, his daughter Velma G. Guajardo, his brother Guadalupe E. Villarreal, and his sisters-in-law Margarita S. Villarreal spouse of Guadalupe Villarreal and Martha Villarreal spouse of Anacleto Villarreal Jr. He is survived by his brother Anacleto Villarreal Jr., his daughters Mary (Jeff) Bowman and Ana Lisa Villarreal, his sons Omar Villarreal and Jordan (Linzy) Villarreal, his granddaughter Meaghan L. Guajardo, his grandson Justin M. Guajardo, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Public Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 pm on Monday, March 9, 2026 with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm.at Funeraria Del Angel, 4901 Everhart Road Corpus Christi, Texas. Inurnment will be at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Falfurrias Burial Park.
