Concepcion G. Perez

Concepcion (Connie) Perez aka Concha & Honey, born January 16, 1938 in San Benito, Texas, went to be with the Lord after a short battle with cancer on November 17, 2014 in her home in Corpus Christi, TX.

She was surrounded by her family that she so dearly loved. She worked for CCISD for over 35 years at Alternative HS Wynn Seale, Martin, and Grant Middle School, and anyone who worked with her was overtaken by her smile and charm. You could find her every Saturday morning at the beauty parlor making sure she looked great for church on Sundays, and she loved spending time tending her rose bushes in her lush garden. Though, her greatest love was her family. She was the epitome of love and served any person that came through her home.

There was never a time that her home wasn’t bursting at the seams with people. She never minded. She would just put out more plates and chairs, and continue to love her visitors the only way she knew how. She was a true servant at heart who always put others first. We will greatly miss you. See you in heaven Mom (Honey!) .

Preceded in death by her father Ramon H Garcia, mother Guadalupe G Garcia. She was loved and will be greatly missed by her husband of 50 years Senen G Perez, Daughter Elizabeth Muniz, Senen G.Perez, Jr-Sonny (Bernice) Perez, Selena (Cliff) Perez, Connielou (Noe) Ortiz, Grandchildren: Cliff Perez, Jr. Matthew R Muniz, Cyle Perez, Jonathan M Perez, Gabriana (Gabby) Ortiz, Ariana A Ortiz, Briana N Perez, Noe Ortiz, Jr., Victoria M Perez Sisters: Elidia (Adelino) Del Bosque, Ofelia Heggen, Bertha Rosales and brother Ramon Garcia, Jr.

We will celebrate her life at Memory Gardens on Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 3-9pm. with a service of reflection at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
