On September 10, 2024, Crecencio went home to be with our Lord and Savior. Our hearts are broken, but we find comfort in knowing that he is rejoicing in heaven.
He was born on October 16, 1950 in Corpus Christi. At the age of 17 he joined the US Marine Corps and proudly served his country in the Vietnam war. He continued to serve in the National Guard. He worked at CCAD for 35 years and was very proud of his work and accomplishments. In 2008, he began his walk with Jesus when his grandson sang him ‘Open the Eyes of my Heart Lord.’ With a servants heart, he helped lead others to Jesus as he served in the Encounter Ministry and as a Eucharistic minister.
Crecencio will forever be remembered and loved by his wife and sweetheart of 54 years, Irene, and his children Margaret (Manolito), Camelia, Christopher (Mayra).
He was cherished and adored by his grandchildren (15), great grandchildren(12), and deeply loved by his spiritual brother Daniel Marroquin, best friends Joe and Anna Vasquez , brothers: Frank (Connie), Ray (Terry), Robert (Olga), Ramiro (Betsy), Gilbert (Claudia), Brother-in-law Juan, Sister-in-law Beatrice, and many family and friends.
Preceded in death by mother Genoveva, father Crecencio Sr., grandmother Francisca, great grandmother Severa, sister Maria Christina, brother Ricardo, uncle Ben, and Benito.
The viewing and rosary will be held on Monday the 23rd at Funeraria Del Angel funeral home from 5-9pm at 4901 Everhart.
Mass will be held on Tuesday the 24th at 11:00 am at Most Precious Blood Church at 3502 Saratoga Blvd.
Burial to follow at precisely 1:00pm at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 9974 IH 37 Access Road.
Following interment, there will be a celebration of his life with a reception at Most Precious Blood Church Parish Hall.
