Crescencio Gutierrez

Crescencio Gutierrez age 78 of Corpus Christi, TX passed away on November 14, 2015. He is the husband of Maria Elma Gutierrez of 52 years, a loving father and grandfather. Born June 15, 1937 in La Feria, Texas, he was the son of Jose and Carlota Gutierrez. He graduated from San Isidro High School. Crescencio served 2 years in the U.S. Army after high school, and was employed as a carpenter until retirement in 1999.

He was a member at Christ the King Church. He enjoyed watching the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Cowboys. He will be remembered as an honorable man, who believed in hard work, providing for his family, faith, and the power of prayer. Adored by his kids and grandkids, Crescencio always enjoyed a good barbeque with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Elma Gutierrez, his children Norma (Roger) Rodriguez, David Carlos (Alma) Gutierrez, Rosa “Rosie” Linda Gutierrez, and Jose Carlos (Michelle) Gutierrez. His grandchildren, Jason Gutierrez, Bryanna Rubio, A.C. Gonzalez, David Gutierrez, Jr., Christopher Gutierrez, Jana Rodriguez and Alex Gonzalez.

The family will be receiving friends at Funeraria del Angel-Memorial Holly on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. The funeral mass will be celebrated at San Isidro Catholic Church at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 18, 2015. Interment will follow at the family cemetery in Puerto Rico Ranch near San Isidro, Texas.
